The effect of forced molt treatment on body weight, oviduct and some blood biochemical contents in White Hysex hens

The experiment was carried out with 24 000 White Hisex hens on 68 weeks age at beginning of the trail, kept in cage batteries.It was determined that the body weight and the length and weight of the reproductive apparatus of the laying hens decrease with the reduction of the food, water and lighted day length during 22 days forced molt.The Na and K in blood plasma and K in the erythrocites decreases considerably as a result of forced molt.The quantities of Ca and Mg decreased strongly in the blood plasma of the hens subject to forced molt, compare to control group.With the forced molt of the laying hens the total protein content did not suffer any changes, while in the individual fractions were observed some differences between the two groups.The quantity of total lipids in the bloood plasma decreased as a result of the forced molt of the laying hens.
