The changes in the diameter, length, hardness and moisture content of the cut off branches was investigated in apple-tree, peach-tree and cherry. It was proved that the diameter of the apple and peach branches is concentrated within margins from 5 mm to 24 mm, and that of the cherry from 27 mm to 56 mm. The branch length with the peach varies intensively within a range from 0.50 m to 1.10 m and that of the apple and the cherry from 1.3-0 m to 2.10m. The hardness of the lignum in transverse direction is from 1.08 to 1.5 times bigger that in longitudinal direction and it reaches up to 98.1 MN/m2. The branch moisture content in one-year lignum amounts to 85.16% and in multi-year lignum it diminishes down to 48.13%.
