Comparatively investigation of some temperate grasses and legumes for hay production

The influence of the harves-haymaking phase of different sown perennial grass and legume cultivars on the dry matter productivity and botanical changes of the swards, cultivated in a foothill region of Central Northern Bulgaria (Troyn region) during the period 1993-1998, was studied. During the period 1993-1998 the sown grasses in monoculture crops and in the mixture wereprevailed in the swards while there was the greatest weed infeststion in the white clover cultivars in the same crops.
