Spontaneous cases of intoxication with copper and lead in sheep

The results have shown that the sheep reared in close vicinity of the plant were subject of toxic risks. Changes have been established in the amount of haemoglobin and the number of erythrocytes that have reduced essentially, and in the level of blood sugar, bilirubinum, creatine and the activity of acid phosphatase, increasing essentially above the physiological standards. In addition, the level of copper and lead in the blood and milk of clinically affected sheep rose over the maximum allowed levels.
