State extension network of the Ministery of Agriculture and the common agricultural information system in the Czech Republic

The Institute of Agricultural and food Information develops an open highly flexible content management system (CMS) as a prerequisity for the Common Agricultural Information System. This friendly Internet application allows user to access information from Ministery of Agriculture, universities, research institutes, professional associations etc. via Internet, WAP, PDA, or SMS. What's more, CMS users can easily publish on Internet. The system based on shared database will enable multiple exploitation of stored information. At present IS enables to publish articles, short articles, hyperlinks, pdf documents and images. The information on all aspects of agricultural and food industry is provided by a special application called Infopult. In addition to that, the IS includes a register of accredited advisors, workshop administration, fulltext search engine. Mailing-list and E-bookshop will also appear.
