A new Czech energy supplement, Proenergol, has been patented. It contains calcium salts of rape oil fatty acids and glycerol as energy sources and rape proteins with low degradability in the rumen and high degradability in the intestines. Other advantages of Proenergol are high calcium availability, enhanced palatability, good long-term stability and low concentration of glucosinolates. Proenergol has been already tested and fed to dairy cows, calves, fattened bulls and pigs, laying hens and broiler chickens.
