Cassava (Manihot utilissima POHL) is the third mainfood in Indonesia after rice and corn. It is processed to be dried cassava, tapioca starch, cassava starch, etc. Tapioka starch industries, which are used cassava as a raw material produce liquid waste. This liquid waste comes from the water used for extraction. Usually, this waste is disposed straight to the surrounding area and caused unpleasant smell and pollution. Because of this problem, clean production needs to be implemented to reduce the liquid waste by reducing the water used on extraction process and the yield is maximum. In this research, the proportions of raw material and water are 1:7, 1:8, 1:9 and 1:10, and the cassava used in this research is 2.5 kg each treatment. The equipments used to smash the cassava are manual scrapping and motor scrapping. Tapioca starch is analysed for water content and its yield.
