Post harvest information system of vegetables

High amount of post harvest losses on vegetables in developing countries had become a serious problem. To overcome this problem, farmers need a right, quick, and accurate information about post harvest handling of vegetables. This information was spread in many sources, such as catalogues, journals, books, and other research reports. This problem causes ineffective in cost and time when searching those information. In that case, they need a facilities to come easy in searching the information. Post Harvest Information System of Vegetables (SIPASAYUR) was developed by analysis method and design system structure which can implemented in complicated mechanism process step by step. This information system is made in order to supply the right, quick, and accurate information for the user in post harvest handling of vegetables. SIPASAYUR was design by Microsoft Visual Basic 4.0, work on Windows operation system and show five item information choice on PENELUSURAN INFORMASI menu. SIPASAYUR is also supported by Microsoft Access '97 and text file. The minimum hardware needed to operate SIPASAYUR is IBM PC or compatible with 486 processor, RAM 8 MB, VGA, monitor, hard disk, keyboard, and mouse
