Research concerning on the effect of lime and green manure application on Typic Hapludult Soil of Jantho, Great Aceh has been conducted in the Soil Science Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University since November 1997 until February 1998. The aim of the research was to restore the physico-chemical properties of the soil tested samples. A factorial-Completely Randomized Design with 3 replications was used in this research. The green manure dosages applied were: 0; 2.5; and 5 g/kg of soil sample. The lime dosages applied were: 0; 1; 2 and 3 g/kg of soil sample. The examined variables were: pH O change, P-available content, and pH H2O and pH KCl of the soil sample examined. Results showed that increasing of the lime dosage given increased the P-available, pH H2O2, pH KCl and also pH O of the soil sample tested. The green manure application decreased pH O and increased P-available, pH H2O and pH KCl. The organic matter application, in fact, could eliminate disadvantage effect of lime application by blocking the increasing of pH O
