[Efficacy of several kinds of pre-emergence herbicides in combination with direct-seeded and transplanting of lowland rice]

The research was conducted at Tempuran, Trimurjo, Central Lampung from March until July 1997. The purpose of this reseach was to know the efficacy of several kinds of pre-emergence herbicides in combination with direct-seeded and transplanting of lowland rice. The experiment was arranged in a factorial randomized block design with three replications. The first factor was planting system, while the second factor was several kinds of pre-emergence herbicides consists of Clomazon, Oksadiazon+ 2,4 D isooktil ester, Pertilachlor, manual weeding, and control. The results showed that planting system and the kinds of preemergence herbicides did not affect weed dry weight and yield components, but affected plant height and numbers
