PCR technique was investigated for detection of M. Tuberculosis in dairy cattle. Out of 54 tuberculin recators, PCR was positive in 43 cases and 15 of them revealed AF bacilli on smear examination. Among seven nonreactors, Two animals revealed AFB on samear examination and one of them showed positive PCR. Faecal samples Tested did not reveal positive PCR.
