The effect of water stress on four crosses of durum wheat compared to the parents (Horani and stork) were studied in the following stages; Tillering; stem elongation, Heading, Ripening, and through the entire growth period on productivity and other agronomic characteristics. All water stress treatments resulted in a significant decrease in grain yield and other agronomic characteristics to all crosses used, and it was noted that there was a large decrease in the yield under water stress effect during the entire growth period. Harvest index was not reduced appreciably by most of the water stress treatments. This study revealed the superiority of HINXST-6 over the parents in the yield, and that shows the possibility to find wheat species superior in the yield under drought condit
