Field trials were conducted at the Lithuanian Institute of Agriculture in Dotnuva on a light loamy soddy-gleyic soil in 1993-1997. The spring oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) cv. 'Star' was seeded to investigate the effect of nitrogen fertilizer rates and timing, stand population density, thousand seed weight as well as pod location on the seed protein and fat content and fatty acids composition
