The aim of the research was to investigate the influence of breed, age, sex and the complex interaction of these factors on electrical activity of the heart of dogs by using eletrocardigraphical lead. The functional parameters of the heart activity in 144 clinically healthy Cocker Spaniel, Rotweiler and german Shepherd dogs of different age were analysed. The data were statistically processed by using variance (ANOVA) linear regression analysis and analysis of covariance. The animal's breed was found to be one of most essential factors influencing the heart rate. Investigations on the dog heart rate dynamics proved that the heart rate tends to diminish with the aging of a dog. The amplitude of P wave in lead II is directly related to heart rate - the amplitude of P wave increases with the increase of heart rate. The amplitude of electrocardiogram P wave is essentially dependent on the animal's heart rate and breed as main factors, on the interaction of heart rate and breed, and age and breed.
