A poster was develop to facilitate identification and management of selected, major insect pests and diseases of onion in the Philippines. Color photos of insects and diseases symptoms were arranged in order of their appearance on the crop. The poster was designed as part of the AVRDC-TUM-CLSU peri-urban project to develop IPM-systems for vegetable crops in the Philippines. The poster is constructed to enable onion growers to distinguish between insect damage and early symptoms of diseases. Environmental conditons favoring the infestation by insect pests and infection by pathogens are presented on the poster. The poster also contains monitoring and management recommendations. A table on the top of the poster contains information on the crop growth stage when pest attack can be expected
