[Annual lucernes - feed crop production in diverse environments [Portugal]

The agronomical value of a crop is strongly related with its behaviour on different environmental conditions. So, for 73 ecotypes from several annual species it was done the evaluation of the dry matter production on three types of soils and different years and with the aim to analyse the data and elect the ecotypes that possess the most favourable behaviour. Concerning to the most produtive ecotypes the higher abundant species are Medicago polymorpha and M. doliata followed by M. scutellata, M. tornata, M. truncatula and M. littoralis. Were found the ecotypes with adaptability to larger number of environments - classified as stable - and ones with specific adaptation to certain conditions or with good increase of productivity following the improvement of the environmental index
