In article the effect of the green fallow (six years) maintenance method on changes of inorganic nitrogen forms and soil pH is evaluated. The problem was solved by field stationary experiment during the years 1998-2000 on brown-soil loess proluvial sediments. The experiment was realised on fallow soil where no agro-technical intervention (except mowing) were provided since 1994. During succession of vegetable population community has developed the cover where dominated Cirsium arvense, Conyza Canadensis and Triplerospermum inodorum. Three variants of coverage (unfertilised) were used in the experiment in four repetition: a - uncut control; b - cut, green mass remains on the field; c - cut, green mass removed from the field. The soil for determination of N-NO-3 (using colour method by acid phenol-2,4-dihydrosulphide), N-NH+4 (colour method by Nessler test solution) and pH (in 1M KCl solution) was taken away from a depth of 0-0.3 m three once by year - in spring, summer and autumn. In each treatment the ammoniacal nitrogen predominated and its share to total nitrogen ranged on average to 70%. The year had the most significant effect on changes of inorganic nitrogen especially the volume of rainfall which influenced significantly the activity of nitrification's process. The way of fallow tillage and the sampling time were significant neither at level alpha = 0.05. The mean values of nitrate nitrogen were influenced by the acid reaction of soil which influenced low nitrification, too
