Content of nutrients were compared in two feeding mixtures intended for fattening of broiler rabbits. We evaluated the utilization of individual nutrients in the tested mixtures in experiments with balance digestibilty of substances. In fattening experiments were studied the growth of live weight in rabbits and consumption of feed mixtures and nutrients per unit of live weight growth. The results we obtained suggest that with increasing content of nutrients and energy in feed rations shortened the period of fattening as well as the feed consumption per unit of live weight gain. Higher proportion of fibre in the mixture had influence on the decrease of coefficients of dry matter digestibility, crude protein and fat. We suppose that the higher proportion of amino acids in mixture influenced positively both phases of fattening in rabbits. Deeper analysis of the nitrogen component showed that it is possible to balance the deficit in lysine and threonine by synthetic preparations
