External parasitic inpestation in Italian bees reared in Daklak during 1996-2000

Italian bees (Apis mellifera) are infested with two species of Varroa Jacobsoni and Tropilaelaps clarea with infestation rate of 97.6-l00 percent in Varroa jacobsoni and 25.4-35.2 percent in Tropilaelaps clareae. Infestation degree and rate with Varroa jacobsoni in male bees are higher than in working bees, while those with Tropilaelaps clareae in nymphs of working bees higher than those in male bees.
