Species diversity in hop hornbeam forests of the alliance Orno-Ostryon Tomz. 1940 and its characteristics

This paper analyses 254 species recorded in the alliance Orno-Ostryon Tomz. 1940 in southwest Serbia (Yugoslavia). It presents the spectres of life forms, floral-geographical elements and coenological spectre, with special emphasis on the floristic wealth, a significant number of endemorelic species and several typical refugia within the range of distribution.
