Deposition and distribution of plant protection products (PPP) on the lower leaf sides and in the heart of strawberry plants by different application techniques were compared. Three nozzle combinations on a row application kit, a boom sprayer with air-induction nozzles and two different adjustments on an air assisted sprayer were studied. Filter paper was used as the collector material while the tracers were Mn-chelate, Co-chelate and Mg-sulphate. The sampled strawberry crop was extremely dense. All averages were influenced by a few extremely high values. There was a large amount of data that showed very low deposition showing that all applications must still be optimised. On the lower leaf side, the sprayer boom and the application kit with the central nozzle shut, gave the worst result. In the heart of the plant, the air-assisted sprayer delivered the best deposition. The use of air induction nozzles can contribute to a better result.
