Experiment was set in spring of 1999 on 11 year Bluecrop blueberry plantation. The plants were growing at three distances in the rows (o,4; 0,6 and 0,8 m) and 3,5 m in the inter-rows. The following combinations were employed: A-50 kg N/ha in spring; B-50 kg N/ha in spring and 50 kg in the first decade of May; C-like in the combination B plus 50 kg N/ha in first decade of June. The plantation is irrigated. In 1999 the yield differed more depending on planting density in the rows than on doses of fertilizer. The highest yield was harvested from plants most densely planted (o,4 m) and the lowest from these planted at 0,8 m distance. There is no influence of nitrogen doses higher than 50 kg/ha on yield and fruit size. Bluecrop was a very good cropper regardless of planting density or fertilizing level, yielding 12 to 20 t/ha
