The experiment of development and reproduction circle of the H. armigera on sorghum and pigeonpea was conducted at Entomology Laboratory Research Institute for Maize and Other Cereals (RIMOC) in 1997. The objective of the experiment was to study the development and reproduction circle on pigeonpea leafs, pods of pigeonpea, young leaf of sorghum and grains of sorghum. Each plastic glass was laid one section of plant and one larvae instar-1 of H. armigera. The observation was done every days until pupae became adult. The observation was collected on members of eggs, larvae, pupae, and adult. The data of the long stadia of each item was collected. The results of the experiment showed that number of eggs, larvae, adult, and life survive of H. armigera good on pigeonpea pod compared to pigeonpea leaf, young leafs/stems and grains of sorghum. The results also showed the life circle was not significantly different between treatments
