[Decomposing characteristics of azolla]

The study on the decomosing characteristics of azolla was carried out when it was loaded and when it was fertilized with lime in the soil. When azolla was loaded in the middle of November, decomposing intensity of the organic material was highest within the first month and decreased gradually after that period. Within while, C/N ratio was decreased to approximately 10.7 and the content of mobile nutritional elements were gradually increased. The content of mobile nitrogen in soil could be increased by increasing the amount of azolla after applying the lime
