One of the key trends in the development of soil tillage system is soil tillage minimisation by refusing ploughing and by rational use of chemical products. Rotary machines based on impact mode are successfully applied in non-inversion soil tillage technology. A machine with a combination of active and passive working parts reduces the content of plant residues by 27-30 in the worked-in layer. A stable tilled layer enables to achieve a high quality of seed placement. In non-inversion technology surface soil tillage increases cereal yield in clean soil and soil with mulched-in residues. It is expedient to apply non-inversion tillage technology also from the economic point of view. Depending on the yield obtained in the ploughless technology the costs of these operations per unit of production are by 32-36.8 lower
