The effects of varying concentrations of a naphthalene acetic acid (ANAA) rooting hormone solution were studied on the germination and early seedling growth of `lakatan' banana corms. Finding showed that the number of days to germination was significantly less when seed prices were dipped in the ANAA a solution of 2 tbsp/4 L of water. Difference in percentage germination was insignificant at two weeks after planting but significant at four weeks after planting where 1 and 2 tbsp/4 L water had 87.50% and 100.00% germination percentage, respectively. The control (no ANAA) had only 22.50% germination. Seedling growth was significantly affected by varying concentrations of ANAA solution where those seed bits soaked in a solution of 2 tbsp/4 L of water had significantly the tallest seedlings with a mean of 16.68 cm at two months old and 43.45 cm at three months old. Likewise, the biggest pseudostem diameter with a mean of 2.33 and 2.49 cm at 2-3 months old were produced at ANAA solution at 2 tbsp/4 L water. The control produced the shortest with the smallest stem diameter. The study concluded that the different concentrations of ANAA rooting hormone affect the germination and early seedling growth of `lakatan' banana corms. Among the concentrations used, the solution of 2 tbsp ANAA rooting hormone in every 4 L water significantly reduced the number of days to germination and promoted the growth of seedlings
