Water samples at Foothills of Margalla in Potwar Plateau, between longitudes 73 degree 0 to 73 degree 15 E and latitudes 33 degree 38 to 33 degree 45 N have been collected from existing wells of Dhok Chapran, Farash, Dhok Mori, Pandori, Saiydan, Dhok Saknal, Tarlai, and Ziaratgah of National Park Area at the depth of 5 to 62 feet and G-7, G-8, G-9, G-10, F-10, H-8, H- 9,1-8, 1-9 of Sectorial Area of Islamabad region at the depth of 250 to 350 feet & have been analyzed for the Physiochemical parameters i.e. pH, conductivity (EC)muS/cm, TDS, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chloride, sulphate, and bicarbonates. The values of sodium absorption ratio (SAR), residual sodium carbonate (RSC), and exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP) of these samples have also been calculated, which are very useful quantitative guide for the evaluation of water for irrigation purposes.
