Occurrence and nutritive value of selected leguminous species from permanent grassland

The aim of studies on permanent meadows of Olsztyn Lakeland was to determine the habitat conditions and nutritive value of Lathyrus pratensis, Vicia cracca and Lotus uliginosus. 29 plant material samples of Lotus uliginosus, 16 Vicia cracca and 15 Lathyrus pratensis were analysed. In examined assembles the most frequent appeared Alopecurus pratensis, Poa pratensis, Deschampsia caespitosa, Holcus lanatus, Lotus uliginosus, Lathyrus pratensis, Achillea millefolium and Cirsum oleraceum. The leguminous plants were rich in crude protein, Ca, Mg and Fe. The contents of P and K were insufficient. Lotus uliginous was distinguished by high Na concentration at low content of Cu, whereas Vicia cracca contained most fiber, Mn and Zn
