The paper presents the results of the research of the effects of nitrogenous fertilization on proteins levels in potato tubers. The field trials with various nitrogenous fertilization intensities of 60, 120 and 100 + 20 kg/ha (an additional dose of nitrogenous fertilization - 20 kg/ha of nitrogen was applied during vegetation) were established in 2 different growing regions for period of 2 years (1998, 1999). 3 varieties (Marabel, Karin, Rosella) were tested. The method for measuring of protein content in potato tubers with Coomassie Brillant Blue G-250 (Snyder and Desborough 1978) was used in this analysis. High statistical significant differences in tuber protein content in dependence of variety have been found. The influence of region is also statistical significant. The nitrogenous fertilization can increase the protein content in potato tubers. The additional nitrogenous dose (nitrogenous fertilization during vegetation) can influence the protein content in potato tubers by specific character of variety in specific conditions of growing season
