During a three-year experiment on arable land with very good rye soil complex the influence of different nitrogen and potassium levels on the accumulation of potassium, calcium and magnesium in the rescue grass, as well as milli-equivalent ratios of these cations were studied. Nitrogen and potassium fertilization influenced the potassium content in the rescue grass as well as the harvesting time and the year of cultivation. In the case of calcium and magnesium content, the harvesting time and the year of cultivation were the major factors. The applied nitrogen and potassium fertilization did not have negative influence on the K:(Ca+Mg) ratio in the rescue grass
