Influence of environment conditions and accompanying species on the content of calcium in cocksfoot, timothy and perennial ryegrass
2001
Harkot, W. (Agricultural Academy, Lublin (Poland). Chair of Grassland Farming)
The influence of accompanying species on the Ca content in cocksfoot, timothy and perennial ryegrass has been evaluated in two habitats that differed in the level of ground water and type of soil. The studied grasses contained higher Ca levels in dry mass of cuts in wet habitat with neutral reaction than in dry habitat with slightly acid reaction, irrespective of the experimental object (pure sowing or mixtures). Perennial ryegrass was an exception as it collected more Ca in dry mass in dry habitat
