Method of selecting the type of water damming for power generation to agricultural purposes

Water deficiency for power stations observed at below bank river state enforces to limit the number of working units what reduces energy supply, particularly on rural areas. Sub-damming may improve the situation in spite of some difficulties in river navigation, flow of fish etc. Three types of damming were proposed: swelling construction of synthetic materials placed on the river bottom, concrete weir and concrete sill. Analytic Hierarchy Process was used to select the optimum variant. Brief characteristics of this method was given and its usability to support decisions based on many criteria. 14 factors divided into 4 groups (economic, environmental, social, technical) were considered
