Analysis of market with slaughter animals

The paper deals with market development of slaughter cattle, slaughter pigs and slaughter sheep in the Slovak Republic from the year 1989. Transition to a market economy was manifested by long-run decrease of animal number, decline of their utility and also by production and sale decrease of slaughter animals. In consequence of prices increase and low purchasing power of inhabitants, domestic meat consumption decreased significantly. On the base of obtained is presented a development assumption till the year 2005
