[Enhancing seed productivity of winter rape through improving sowing technology under the conditions of the South of Ukraine]

The issues of improving rape production in the southern region of Ukraine are considered. Optimum dates, rates and technology of sowing are determined. For the first time, a phenologo-meteorological method to fix a sowing date is used. An optimum model for winter rape sowing is developed. Agrotechnical methods allowing to improve winter rape yields by 20.2 % as well as to enhance produce quality under drought conditions are proposed. The technology developed is implemented at farm enterprises of the region
