In this report the authors give some suggestions for the criteria for choosing places which should be protected as exclusive natural locations of geoheritage. Taking care of the importance of exact criteria and having great field-work experience we have chosen some locations in the Nisava river basin (Serbia, Yugoslavia). We have given all the necesary data for each location such as position, geological structure, dimension, degree of damage under human or natural factors, conditions for conservation and further protection.
