Optimizing irrigation schedule and planting date in late cabbage

Different pre-irrigation soil moisture and planting date have been tried in order to establish the optimum irrigation schedule and planting date for late cabbage growing in the local conditions. The technical minimum of soil moisture for cabbage is 70-75% FWC. A modified method of irrigation at intervals is recommended for commercial production. The optimum planting date is in the first 10 days of June, with acceptable delays up to July 20. Later planting results is soft, technologically immature heads and low biomass yield.
