Maize production is characterized by high investments per area unit, which is not followed by appropriate results. The average cost of maize production in agricultural companies is 644 Euros/ha, which is far above average investments of peasants farm (341 Euros/ha). Extension of production is limited by high input costs, so the achieved yields are lower, and failed to keep up with the yields in developed countries in Europe. The increase in maize production efficacy can be achieved yields by increasing yield, but also by lowering the cost price of working hours of factory machines, but more rational consumption of material, and by directing general costs to improved organization and rationalization of individual services in production units. Economic position of maize production depends directly on selling price. That's why it's very important to use expense principle when forming the selling price.
