[Perspective preparation for onion crop seeds treatment in one-year culture]

Results of studies on the influence composite seed treater Prestige 29 SC on the complex of pests and diseases of onion cultivating in the one-year culture are presented. The evaluation of biological and economic efficiency of preparation was conducted, the possibility of using Prestige (100 ml/kg) for pre-sowing treatment of onion seeds has shown. Biological efficiency against the onion fly (Delia antiqua Meig.) depending on phases of development of culture was 75,7-100%, against onion thrips (Thrips tabaci Lind.) - 73,5%. Presowing seed treatment by the preparation Prestige ensured efficient protection of onion crop in the one-year culture from the pest complex, as from the seedlings phase and before the beginning of shaping the bulbs, promoted a reducing of onion downy mildew development. As a result of complex protection against the pests and diseases, yield increase obtained 45,0 c/ga, or 28,5%
