The main source of methane emissions in Belarus is cattle breeding (89%), primary enteric fermentation of the cattle (86%). In general, the downward trend of emissions of GHG is typical.This is especially true with respect to methane: emissions reduced from 529.7 thousand tonnes in 1990 to 334.1 thousand tonnes in 2000 (by 37%)
