Effects of fertilization on dynamic of intake of nutrients and yield components of sunflower seed
2003
Poljak, N.
A long-term stationary four-field trial (wheat, sugar beet, maize, sunflower) was established on the trial fields of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, Serbia&Montenegro, for investigation of effect of fertilization on dynamic of nutrients intake and yield components of sunflower seed. This trial, missing plowing of harvest residues, is consisted of 20 variants of mineral nutrition with different dosages and relations of NPK nutrition. Two factors were studied on the field under sunflower using two-way factorial seldom block design with three reprications. The first one consisted of CMS sunflower lines: Ha-981 and BCSS-7 used for production of hybrids NS-HA-111 and Valentino. The second factor consisted of the following ten characteristic fertilization variants: 0 (control), N100, P100, K100, N100P100, N100K100, P100K100,N50P50K50, N100P100K100, N150P150K150. The following characteristics: dynamic of forming of dry matter, content and carrying of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, stem diameter, plant height, leaf area, and head diameter were observed on the sample consisted of six plants from each replication, according to the following phases: six pairs of leaves, butonization, full blossom, seed formation, physiological maturity, full maturity. The total number of seed per head, percentage of fertilization, mass of 1000 seeds, yield of seeds per hectare, germination and energy of germination were determined at the end of vegetation period.
