Effect of age the sow and boar on reproduction performance

Litter size at birth is a reflection of the reproduction efficency of the sow or gilt and that of the boar mated to her. Among others age of the animal is know to influence the reproductive efficiency becuase of the change in physiological status. The present report deals with the effect of the age of sow and the mates boar on the litter size and litter size and litter weight at birth and weaning.
