Bud grafting technique mass multiplication and rapid popularization of V 1 mulberry Linn.

Bud grafting showed high rate of success as V 1 mulberry gave high yield 67 million tonnes/ year. V 1 mulberry also showed large size, entire shape, glossy and surface of dark green leaf; thin average number of 10-12 shoots; full to moderate resistance to important diseases; and high rooting ability which was higher when compared with K 2 mulberry. Bud grafting showed high rate 94%.
