The pooled analysis of variance for stability in 25 genotypes of greengram in three different environments [dates of sowing at fortnightly intervals] indicated that both linear and non-linear components were responsible for interaction of genotypes with environments since the genotype, environments, genotype x environment interaction and environment (linear) components exhibited significance for all the characters studied. Among the three environments, environment I (sowing 23rd November) was found to be most favourable for plant height, number of clusters per plant, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, protein content and seed yield per plant while environment 3 (sowing 23rd December) was found to be unfavourable as most of the characters recorded low values except days to 50% flowering and days to maturity. The genotypes LGG 444 exhibited stable performance for seed yield per plant.
