To investigate the genetic mode of some panicle traits, interrelationships between panicle traits and ripened grain ratio, and the critical limit of panicle trait for high ripened grain ratio, four different panicle types of rice cultivars (Milyang 161, Milyang 165, Sindongjinbyeo and YR18493Acp20) were crossed in half diallel, and panicle traits of F©ûand F©üplants of six cross combinations were examined. The number of primary rachis branch (PRB) per panicle, guains setting on PRB per panicle, secondary rachis branch (SRB) per PRB and grains setting on SRB per PRB were partially dominant in the half diallel analysis. Milyang 161 had more PRB per panicle with a dominant allele, while YR18493Acp20, Milyang 165, and Sindongjinbyeo had fewer PRB per panicle with recessive ones in PRB number per panicle.
