This investigation comprises information on possibilities of feedback mechanism use in the work of the state and municipal institutions. It gives insight on how institutions could evaluate their work of the state and municipal institutions. It gives insight on how institutions could evaluate their impact on business environment and how appropriate feedback methods might be used. Examples on best practice of some implemented projects in number of state institutions are given. Development of feedback mechanism between state or municipal institutions and their clients - entrepreneurs is a very important part of any efforts made to improve business environment, thereby creating favourable conditions for investments and creating additional workplaces. In turn it is the basis for regional development. Each institution can develop its. Feedback mechanism by assessing its own work and provided services according following criteria: satisfaction with provided services, costs in terms of time and money, accessibility of information, clearness of procedures and cases of corruption. Procedures application quality and quality of services is influencing business activities in Latvia. Therefore, institutions have to start dialog with service users for impact assessment on business environment.
