The biological activity of invertebrates of Pomacea canaliculata, Holothuria sp., Holothura atra and Synapta maculata were assayed using several methods. The bioassay used were neutropical migration, cytokine assay for immunomodulating activity, cytotoxicity assay using the tetrazolium test, nitrogenic activity assay, antimicrobial activity using the filter paper disc method, brine shrimp assay, and seed germination inhibition activity assay. All the invertebrate lectins exhibited biological activities, Pomacea canaliculata and Holothuria sp lectins were found active against mouse Sarcoma T180 and A549 (human lung cancer cells). The mouse Sarcoma T180 cancer cells were more susceptible to the action of both lectins as indicated by its lower IC50 value than the human A549 cells. All invertebrate lectins exhibited nitrogenic activity. However, only Synapta maculata lectin exhibited weak antimicrobial activity. Holothuria atra lectin was the only lectin used for brine shrimp assay and seed germination inhibition activities. The lectin completely inhibited germination of radish seeds
