An evaluation of children participation as labour in mechanic workshop at Hyderabad city [Pakistan]

During the study, data was collected through the descriptive method of research. The characteristics of Section-A, 18 respondents (60%) was among the 10-12 years of age category, 17 participants (56.70%) were illiterate. The education level reveals that 18 participants (63.40%) were quite illiterate, the labour working category shows that 17 respondents (56.70%) was having 01- 02 years of working experience, 10 individuals (53.40%) use to speak Urdu language, 30 respondents (100%) belongs to poor class of family and 27 participants belongs to poor class of family and 27 participants (90%), live in pacca houses. In Section-B, job description stood at 1st rank with a mean value of 3.73 by "Do you feel in long run you will be better mechanics in Section-C, personal job interest obtains 1st rank with mean value of 3.20 Are you here to each and learn techniques? For Section-D education and future aims were evaluated. The 1st rank granted a mean value of 4.16, Do you think that job will give you a good earning in future? As regards Section-E parents and relatives attitude, it was analyzed that (100%) were positive (Yes) for the topic Do you do this work to earn two times meal for your parents? Section-F, regarding financial support and technical skills was put forth and 26 respondents (86.70%) answered negative (No) on the caption Do you prefer to learn modern technology through refresher courses? High unemployment rate, scare of fundamental needs, less income and population pressure with high depending ratio leads to involvement of young, children in the forced labour.
