Effect of feeding of dried poultry manure supplemented diet on the performance of layer birds

This experiment was conducted to determine the effect of dried poultry manure (DPM) on the performance of laying hens. Dried poultry manure (DPM) was incorporated in the layer feed at the rate of 50%. Experimental feeds were fed for the period of 189 days. During experimental period weight gain, feed consumption, egg production, mortality, weight of internal organs parameters were noted. Results indicated that maximum weight gain, feed consumption, dressing percentage, egg production, liver weight and mortality was noticed in the case of layer birds receiving feed containing dried poultry manure as compared with no dried poultry manure.
