Agrochemical valuation of fertilization with composts made from municipal sewage sludge and industrial wastes
2003
Woloszyk, Cz.
In two field experiments, the agrochemical value of composts produced from sewage sludge coming from mechanical-biological sewage treatment plants in localities of lower and higher population and industrialization were assessed. In the first experiment, composts containing only sewage sludge and composts enriched with 15 percent of dry matter of leave of trees, rye straw, sawdust from coniferous trees were made. After eight months of fermentation, the composts were incorporated into an acid brown soil of a granulometic composition of the Ap level of a light loamy very-fine sand. The experimental variants compared were locality of origin of the sludge (first one) and type of compost (second one) and two rates of composts. The first rate of compost was equivalent of 133 kg of N, and the second one of 266 kg of N/ha. Additionally a supplemental fertilization with NK was applied. The test plant was grass mixture, consisting of red fescue, perennial ryegrass, and meadow bluegrass. In the second experiment, the composts were made from a sewage sludge, bark of coniferous trees and rye straw
