Following the First Workshop on Embryo Culture, 1997, IPGRI/COGENT awarded projects to 12 researchers who conducted their researches from 1998 to 2001. This publication contains the initial results of these, which were reported during the Second Workshop in 2000. The countries participating, from which research reports were submitted, were India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea, Tanzania, Mexico, Cuba, France, Australia.
